EMAC T&F League 2017

Date: 25/04/2017

Remember that on the 3 May 2017 it will be the first match in the EMAC T&F League 2017 at St Ives, Bedford or Thurrock depending upon which Division your  club is in.   This year the league is sponsored by Athlete in Mind.

Excitingly, Andy Cohen-Wray, who runs Athlete in Mind, has instituted “Athlete of the Match” awards for this season.  They will be awarded to the man and woman who achieve the highest age graded performance at each of the twelve meetings; the awards will alternate between track and field so for the first match the runners and walkers will be battling it out, the second match jumpers and throwers and so on.

With slightly fewer teams taking part this year we have reverted to the three division format.  The top two teams in each division will automatically qualify for the final in September, with the next two highest scoring teams across the region also joining them.

If your club is in one of the three divisions, your team manager has all the details so address any match queries to them as there may well be variations of timings across the fixtures.  If your club is not involved then you can compete for any of the participating clubs as a second claim but also badger your own club to take part next year!

Finally, a reminder to all competitors and managers that scoring athletes must be paid up members of EMAC and also be EA registered; the latter is normally organised by your club as part of your membership process.
