We had 26 club members competing in EMAC Cross Country Championships at Nowton Park on Saturday 16th November 2024.
The Men 40 through 55 competed in the Senior Men’s 12km Race with Martin Amos M40, Simon Coombes M50 & Simon Bowman M35 all in the top ten and winning there respective age groups.
Our women and Men 60 plus ran in the 8km race with Katie King, Helen Buller and Ginte Bailey in the top ten.
Our M60’s made up all bar 2 of the field in this race with Stephen Howard and Simon Le Mare well up the overall field taking first and second M60. Richard Wold was first M65, and Jim Stocker M75 ran well and was the oldest athlete out.
We need to find a way to get our championship numbers back to the levels of the early 2000’s when we regularly had between 50 -100 people out
