- Entries are now open on Opentrack with an exclusive period for EMAC & VAC members until 6 January 25.
Sunday 16 February EMAA Inter Area T&F Challenge, Lee Valley
- Contact our EMAC team managers who will be managing and selecting our teams.
In addition BMAF have the following T&F events in the diary:
26 January BMAF Indoor Pentathlon & 3000m EIS Sheffield.
22 – 23 February BMAF Indoor T&F Champs, Lee Valley.
8 – 9 March 2025 BMAF Winter Throws Champs, Horspath, Oxford
Cross Country
15 March BMAF Cross Country Championships, Tollcross Park, Glasgow.
Please note that the 2025 BIMCC international race will be held on 18 November in Leeds. This date clashes with the Eastern Athletics Cross Country, so we need to consider other options for our own championships. Please contact me if you have any suggestions.
We do not have any details of the trial race for the England team yet.
Road Running
The 2024 BMAF 10 mile championships is again at Buntingford on Sunday 29 December (entries have closed with 711 entered).
I will be travelling over to assist with the BMAF presentation. If you have already entered please check on opentrack that you are marked as BMAF. Not every EMAC member is identified on the list, if you are not please let me know.
BMAF have two more road championships in the first half of the year.
- The Half Marathon is at Paddock Wood on 9 March. You need to enter the main race here and then add your name on the event page on opentrack.
- The Road Relay at Mallory Park on Saturday 3 May. This will be part of a full day of competition. Can your club get out teams to compete in the age ranges 35, 45, 55 & 65 ( poss. 75)? I have asked BMAF to relax the team rules to allow teams to include second claim members. This is on the agenda but has yet to be agreed.
Finally some general things.
We plan to hold the EMAC AGM on Friday 11 April at 7pm, the committee will be suggesting that second claim membership remains at £10 and that first claim membership rises a little to cover the increase in the England Athletics registration fee.
If you can offer us help please contact Carey Hollick of Rob Lands . We need someone to take charge of our social media, communications and website as Amr Ziko is moving away and someone to take on the role of membership secretary.
I hope you all have a happy Christmas and a good new year.
Robert Lands
EMAC Secretary
