EMAC has again got one club entry available for the Virgin London Marathon being held on Sunday 23 April 2017.
If as a paid up member of EMAC (shown as a paid up member on Sat 17 Dec 2016) and you want to be considered for the place, send an email to EMAC Club Secretary hemingway@one-name.org seeking to be included by 12:00hrs Thursday 22 Dec 2016. The selection process will use the following criteria :
1. Random draw between entries from EMAC First Claim Members
2. If no First Claim Members apply, random draw will be made from EMAC Second Claim Members who have applied.
Please only apply for the place if you have a realistic chance of undertaking the training to enable you to have a reasonable chance of a successful completion of the marathon in April and you are willing to write a short piece for the EMAC eNews about your training and run on the day (doesn’t need to be long article – just a short piece will be sufficient).
Maurice will acknowledge receipt of email applications (so you know you’re in it) within a day of receiving them and will make the draw. The winner will be announced on Boxing Day on the EMAC Club website. The lucky winner will have ten days then to complete the formal application (which must be undertaken online) and pay.
