After a bit of a hiatus, the Road Running League and Championships are back for 2024! We’re keeping things pretty much the same as before, with just a few minor changes on the admin side of things.

Road Running League
· The league will consist of 7 races ranging from 5-mile to Half Marathon.
· For every race that you do, we will calculate your WAVA score for that performance.
· Only your best 3 performances will count at the end of the year, but you can do as many as you like.
· From your top 3 races we will calculate the average WAVA, and the person with the highest average will be the winner!
The 7 races chosen for this year’s league are:
10th Mar – Mike Groves 10K
14th Apr – Flitwick 10K
21st June – Bury Pacers Friday 5*
7th July – Ware 10
15th Sept – Pleshey HM* (date has been updated 29/01/2024)
6th Oct – Town and Gown 10K Cambridge*
27th Oct – Fenland 10
*Championship race with medals awarded
To make things easier from an admin perspective we are going to ask you to notify us of any league races that you want to take part in. This enables us to manage the whole process ourselves and removes any extra burden from the race organisers.

Championship Races
Medals will be awarded at the following races:
21st June – Bury Pacers Friday 5
8th Sept – Pleshey HM
6th Oct – Town and Gown 10K Cambridge
When entering these events, you will be required to tick a box and enter your membership number to confirm that you would like to be included in the EMAC Championships. This enables the race organisers to calculate the Championship results on our behalf. Medal presentations will take place on the day, as soon as the results are available.
