Hi everyone!! I have the timetable for the EAMA Inter-Area Outdoor Track & Field Challenge on 8th of July in Solihull. The organiser, Arthur Kimber is looking for field and track officials so the competition can go ahead, without them he’ll have to cancel the event. EMAC is happy to announce that the EMAC Track & Field Championships will be held in Southend-On-Sea again this year on 11 August 2018. First field events start at 11 a.m. and Track events start at 11:30. Attached are the poster, postal entry and the timetable. Bushy Park parkrun on Saturday 7th July at 9am, is repeating the special event for octogenarians. In 2017 fifteen 80+ year olds ran the course, including 1956 & 1960 Olympian Eric Shirley, and were rewarded with Prosecco and cup-cakes! View the poster below for more details on this event.

The winner of the EMAC Road Running Championship for 2017 was announced at the EMAC AGM – congratulations to Steve Hall of Peterborough AC. The full results are available on the Road Running page and the Results page. Details of the 2018 Road Championship will be announced soon by Ty Farrer.
As a result of having more than 10 first claim club members, EMAC has again secured a guaranteed place in the London Marathon which it can award to any member. A grand day out in Milton Keynes for 24 EMAC Road Runners today competing in the Wolverton which was the last of the EMAC Road Races in the 2017 series. The provisional results have been published below and in EMAC Results. If there are any queries or corrections let me know asap as I’ll shortly be calculating the series winner.
