A reminder to those members interested in Road Running that the next event in the series of four for 2017 is the Kimbolton Half which takes place on Sunday 20 Aug 2017 organised by NiceTri. This event is is based at Kimbolton Castle in Cambridgeshire with the start and finish taking place in the grounds of the castle with almost 13 miles of the route on a lovely undulating road course around West Cambridgeshire.
EMAC entrants get a 10% reduction in the entry fee (but don’t share this outside EMAC members as the membership list is checked by the Organiser). Don’t take too long to enter this event as the race does fill up and entries close.
The current castle and grounds are now a private school (since 1951) but this is the location where He
nry VIII’s first wife, Catherine of Aragon spent the last two years of her life for refusing to give up her status or deny the validity of her marriage.
